The copy link in your download always points at the current version, so you can pull a fresh copy whenever you want one — free, for as long as we maintain the product. What it won't do is reach into the sheet you're already working in: that copy is yours, and it keeps behaving exactly as it did the day you made it.

Etsy delivers your download the moment your payment clears. Inside are five PDFs. The one named START HERE is the one that matters: it holds the copy links — one English, one Spanish — that put your own private copy of the spreadsheet into your Google Drive. The others are a quick-start guide, an expense-category reference, an FAQ, and a bonus offer. Every PDF is bilingual: English first, then the same thing in Spanish.
You'll need a Google account, since the template lives in Google Sheets and the copy lands in your own Drive. It's free to create one if you don't have it.
Google Sheets. That's what we build in and it's the only version we ship. The dropdowns, the tick-to-complete checkboxes, the charts and the one-click PDF report all depend on it. You can always export a copy to Excel yourself from File → Download, but the buttons and a few formulas won't survive the trip — so we'd rather tell you that up front than sell it as an Excel product.
Per Etsy's policy on digital downloads, refunds aren't automatically available — once you've downloaded the file, it's yours. That said: if a template doesn't work the way the listing says it will, email support@templatetent.com and we'll fix it or refund it. We'd rather you be happy than be right about a policy.
Yes — every improvement we make to a template is included free, for as long as we maintain it. Your download stays available in your Etsy account, and the copy link inside it always resolves to the current build, so you can take a fresh copy any time. Worth knowing up front: a copy you're already using won't update itself. Your data lives in your copy, so pulling the new version means starting a fresh one — we'd rather say that plainly than let you find out in November.
You can use any template for your own business and for your direct clients (e.g., bookkeepers using a template to manage a client's books). What you can't do is rebrand them and sell them as your own product, or distribute the files publicly. See the Terms of Service for the full license.
For industries where it matters (cleaning, landscaping, gig work), yes. There are two builds — one fully English, one fully Spanish — and you copy whichever one you want. The Spanish build isn't a machine pass over the English one: labels, dropdown values and instructions were written as Spanish, in Latin American register, and the sheet's own locale is set to Spanish so dates and day names render properly instead of looking translated.
